I can honestly say I love my job. Most days you can find me chasing after my sassy three year old girl with her baby sister close by and a latte in my hand. As the creative heart behind Tara Nicole Weddings, I love planning and designing beautiful spaces; but more importantly I love the people this business brings in to my life. The friendships and experiences that I’ve created with our couples lasts far beyond the wedding day. It is truly an honor to be by your side on such an important day and help you bring to life each intimate detail. Even after 10 years, and over 150 weddings, each couple makes me fall in love with weddings all over again. People and relationships are my ultimate purpose.
When I got married, my biggest regret was that I tried to plan my wedding myself. Even with my iron-clad timeline and hard-fought planning, my wedding day had unavoidable mishaps and no one was there to help me. My mom and MOH didn't know the answers, and I found myself spending time making decisions and putting out fires when I just really wanted to be with my girlfriends and husband on the dance floor. Because of this experience, I realized there are just some things that I will not do you the disservice of allowing on your wedding day.
My passion is serving others and this is why our philosophy is built on giving you the best wedding experience possible. I pour my heart and soul into each client project because I know how important this day is to you and I know how important it is for you to actually be present in the moment. Years from now, I want you to look back on your wedding memories and have it be so real, you almost get to relive your day all over again.
With my crazy schedule, I make sure to save time to spend with my amazingly supportive husband, Jimmy, and my sweet daughters Alessandra (Ali) and Katelyn. We are constantly doing home improvement projects and watching HGTV Fixer Upper. Joanna Gaines is my role model! If I am not in the office, you can probably find me at Target (fun fact - I used to work there). My happy place is in church. It’s here where I do my best thinking, refocus, and get centered back on what really matters.
Nothing compares to your wedding day! There are so many special moments and memories you will cherish forever! My personal favorite is the moment right before you walk down the aisle. First look or not, this is an emotional moment and it gets me every time! Being a mom has also helped me to see wedding days in a new lens - the time when your mom helps you into your dress, the first look with Dad, and the Father/Daughter dance are now some of my favorite moments.
I cherish Holiday traditions, winters snuggled up by the fire with my favorite blanket and quality time with my little family. I am obsessed with Kate Middleton’s wardrobe and I love all things Harry Potter. I would totally be a Gryffindor! Coffee is a must and football season is intense in our house with fantasy football. Go Colts! I do not like any fruits and I am pretty picky with my veggies – I am a meat and potato kind of girl with a weak spot for a good cheeseburger.
One of the underlying reasons I started Tara Nicole Weddings was to have the flexibility to spend more time with my kids when I had a family. Now, I am mom to two girls - Alessandra (Ali) - 3 years, and Katelyn 3 months and I get to do just that! Ali is my little diva and has a personality big enough to take on the world! Katelyn loves playing with her big sister and is growing like a weed - 3 months and already wearing 6 month onesies!!
