Estella and David’s Laurel Hall wedding was hands down, one of my favorite weddings of the year! There was just something about these two – their beautiful family as their wedding party, the way they looked at one another, and Estella’s smile that was completely contagious! When she smiled, he smiled. It was absolutely magical! As I watched them throughout the day, I thought to myself “this is what it looks like to have a beautiful marriage”. It was like a beautiful dance where they were completely in sync the whole time.
The day began with rain. Lots and lots of rain. As we were preparing the estate for their, now, indoor wedding, the limo pulled up. I greeted Estella at the door, to which she replied with a big smile, “well, we can’t change mother nature”. She was getting married!!! Her hair and makeup was just done, her kids were by her side, and she was really, really happy! Our rain plan was in full swing and I was carrying the chairs to the third floor chapel, I couldn’t help but remember all of the planning we had done for this wedding. It was 13 months ago when I met Estella and David and still remember the day they walked through Laurel Hall and knew, “this is it” as if it were just yesterday. There is something so magical about this estate – as soon as you step inside you feel like you stepped back in time, into an american fairy tale with you as the main character.
Estella and David’s day was perfect! My favorite part was the ceremony. When Estella walked down the aisle, David’s face instantly lit up. Not like any groom who sees his bride for the first time, this was like he had seen an angel. She was simply breathtaking in her blush gown – which is definitely my favorite dress of all time! As a mommy of a little girl, my heart instantly melted when she bent down to give her little girl a kiss before taking David’s hand. During their vows, they brought all four kids together to share special vows that they wrote for them. It was so moving! Cue the waterworks!
Estella and David’s goal was to create a wedding that was relaxing, fun, and beautiful! They even had an acapella group sit in the audience and start singing during the ceremony – what?!? Talk about fun! I am so honored to have been a part of their engagement and wedding day! Thank you Estella and David for being great role models of what a beautiful marriage really looks like! Love you both!
