Morgan and Michael’s Union Station wedding holds a special place in my heart. I was 8.5 months pregnant when I met with Morgan to discuss her wedding! Anyone who puts her faith in a wedding planner, who is about to embark on a new journey as a new mom, is amazing in my book! Once she started talking through her design ideas, love for flowers, tall cake, and the pink and gold accents – I knew from that moment I loved this girl!
And then I met Michael…. oh my goodness, how adorable these two are together!! Two best friends, that turned into a beautiful relationship and made the commitment to marriage. They are just the most laid back, genuine people you have ever met. It is easy to see why they have so many amazing friends – some of which are all the way back to middle school! Michael’s brother, and best man, Danny could not have said it better – “these two have more best friends than most have in a lifetime”. They are the type of people you just love being around and they made planning this wedding so much fun!
We are so honored to have this wedding featured on the Black Tie Bride. Designing this wedding was like a dream come true for me. Morgan had a very specific vision for her cake and we centered the ENTIRE wedding design around the grandeur of this cake: Adorable save the date train tickets, gorgeous tall floral arrangements, gold accents, stunning linens… it was classic beauty all the way! Right up my alley!
Morgan looked absolutely amazing on her wedding day! My favorite part of the day was when Morgan and her dad did their first dance. He was so nervous, and it was such a sweet moment for them and he did great!! Their wedding day also happened to be Morgan’s little brother’s 21st birthday. Naturally, they celebrated with a surprise birthday cake after their traditional cake cutting. 300 people sang “Happy Birthday” to him!! How sweet!!
