I'm Tara and I'm so happy you're here. This blog is a journal featuring our weddings & events, planning advice, and business education. Stay a while and say hello!
One of the least understood and most unglamorous parts of running a business is taxes. Not only is it one of the least fun things to deal with – unless you’re really passionate about accounting and numbers – but it’s also scary and intimidating because tax laws change all the time. It’s hard to know for sure what you can and can’t deduct, and if you haven’t been on top of your bookkeeping, it can be even more stressful as you need to dig through your mountain of digital and paper receipts (hopefully you can still find them!).
To say I love this venue would be an understatement! The architecture, the grounds, the history, I love it all! And so did Winnie! Winnie and Jeff had the most beautiful romantic Laurel Hall wedding this Spring. Every time I do a wedding here, I love the challenge to make it look different than what has already been done. Sometimes there is not enough time. Sometimes the bride and groom want to see one another for the first time at the ceremony. It should not affect the photos, either way. It should still be possible to make time to get beautiful photos on the wedding day.
Kim and Alex had the most romantic Laurel Hall wedding and is featured in the 2017 Fall issue of Wedding Day Magazine! We love seeing all of these gorgeous blush, burgundy and navy fall details in print! It was a beautiful fall day for these two and every detail came together beautifully. Not only did Kim have impeccable taste, but we also shared a love for all things Harry Potter! Needless to say I was extra excited to have Thomas Caterers serve mini butterbeer mugs with dessert. To say I have been excited to share this wedding would be an understatement! Leslie and Jeremy had the most magical Italian-inspired Indiana Roof Ballroom wedding and these images from Nathaniel Edmunds are nothing short of spectacular! I absolutely adore these two and loved bringing this Italian vision to life! This design truly made you feel like you were walking through the streets of Italy as Dean Martin’s 1956 classic “That’s Amore” played in the background. (more…)
