When Katherine and Jason approached me, we had exactly 2.5 months to bring together Sawyer’s circus theme birthday party! Sawyer loves animals, so a circus or carnival theme was the perfect fit. After finding the perfect venue, it was time to design a beautiful celebration where every little detail was carefully thought through.

Guests were greeted by a custom made circus sign and a bucket of clown noses to “clown around” when entering the party! Every single detail played a part in the overall circus theme for the day.

For dining tables, I chose round tables with a yellow and white striped linen. The teal vintage chairs provided the perfect rustic flair for a vintage circus. Florals were also colorful with a touch of whimsy and sat on top of each table.

Impact Scenic Design Group completely transformed the space with their circus tent, draping and lighting. They used wooden pallets with lighted marquee letters to spell ONE to be a focal point in the room. The food and desserts themselves continued with the circus theme. We also had a fun popcorn bar with different flavors of popcorn and custom buckets for guests to fill up.  The drink station showcased fun glasses embellished with circus animal cut outs as well as paper straws.

With so many kids at the party it was important to have plenty of entertainment. We brought in carnival games complete with prizes, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, and a clown! All the kids had big smiles on their faces the entire party making this the perfect circus theme birthday party!
