Introducing Katelyn Elizabeth Steele

Katelyn’s Newborn Session

I am officially back in the office for our wedding this weekend and I am so excited to be sharing this sweet little girl’s newborn session with you! Exactly 7 weeks ago she entered the world and we just love her to pieces! Over the past 7 weeks I have watched her become more aware of her surroundings and grow out of those adorable newborn onesies! Ali is doing such a great job being a big sister keeping her little sister entertained (or awake depending on the situation)and helping around the house.

This little girl missed the memo and went 3 days past her due date. It was a little surreal as we dropped off our toddler at daycare for the last time as an only child and drove to the hospital to be induced. In that moment, I got a little nervous about how our lives would change in just a few short hours: how would they get along? Would Ali be jealous? Will I remember all of the “things” to take care of my newborn once she is home?

Our dear friend Jessica Strickland came over and spent an entire afternoon capturing our family in this new season! Words can’t express how grateful I am for these photos.  I am happy I was able to actually take these last 7 weeks to be on maternity leave. Not only to soak in the baby snuggles, but also to help Ali transition into her new role as a big sister. I will be the first to admit I was SOO worried about how she would do and I am happy to report that she is doing great (just check out her little mini photo session during our family shoot, LOL)!
